Ray of Hope

I have seen a place inside myself
And rarely has it seen the light
All my life I have always felt so alone,
And felt so comfortable in this land
Dreams of a future better then this
With someone who knows who I am
In this land of mine I have been
With my fears, angers, and dreads
For they keep my company as I travel
Deeper into my own made world

A ray of hope entered here not long ago
And calmed the winds of disenchantment
And I allowed myself to hope, and wish
Maybe there can be a tomorrow for me
My soul awoke, for the first time like being kissed
And the night began to resend and I smiled
I saw for the first time, the things
I missed seeing in the darkness before
Look into my eyes, my soul and you will see
The love and hope, you found in there
And to the door inside of you, let me be your key
