A CHILD OF THE UNIVERSE
I have seen the coming of the dawn,
And the shadows, formed in preparation for the light have lifted.
I have fought to conquer the darkest night,
And now I may enjoy the splendor of the new day.
I AM:
Claiming my birthrights: innocence, harmony, health, happiness,
Love, peace, joy, hope and true self-expression.
A woman of courage and power: going from fear to faith, from shame to acceptance,
From correcting to connecting and from blame to forgiveness.
A woman of heart: caring, warm, compassionate, patient, gentle, stable,
Enduring, tender, giving and strong.
A woman of spirit: free, soaring, creative and adventurous.
A woman of earth: instinctual, intuitive and sensual.
A woman of nature: loving oceans, rivers, mountains,
Animals, flowers and forests.
A woman of beauty: appreciating art, music and words.
A daughter, a sister, a mother, a companion, a friend, a lover, a mentor,
a student.
Someone who is dancing to life's rhythms,
And who is ready for its journey and adventure.
Trusting myself and able to make decisions.
Believing in miracles, my potentials, my strength, my womanhood, my being.
Able to wake up and face my deepest self.
Not afraid of emotions and intimacy.
Understanding my humanness and willing to change and grow.
Accepting and loving myself just the way I am.
Honoring my body, my talents, my emotions, my thoughts, my soul,
My integrity, my sexuality and my spirituality.
A valuable human being, deserving to be treated with dignity and respect.
A special gift to the world because of my uniqueness.
Passionate, loyal, fierce and wild like the jaguar,
Precious and free like the butterfly,
Playful like the dolphin,
Beautiful like the rose.
