I may believe I have broken the cycle of abuse and I am learning to LOVE...
I may know: That I can love without asking for love in return....
That I can listen, because I've been listened ......
That I can have compassion and understanding, because I know what pain is...
That love is truly the beginning of wisdom....
That I meet the god of LOVE in my friends....
That this love, because it is based on truth and not on fear, sets me free....

No longer can I separate
This woman from spirit.
She would know the gap between selves.
I wrap the arms of my divinity around me.
I tenderly balance my compassion.
In all I encounter.....LOVE...
In all its disguises within me....LOVE....
