When I look outside
Everything is so bright.
The sun is caressing me,
There's beauty all around to see.
The wind blows softly in the trees.
A warm embrace comes through the breeze.
The waves gently kiss the shore.
I'm standing at life's open door.
The pain, the tears have disappeared.
The darkness is gone, once so much feared.
Laughter once again is here,
Music flows and words are clear.
I'm here to live life once again.
To find respect and trust in men.
To feel your love and care my friend.
To know my spirit now can mend.
So:
When I look outside,
Everything can be bright.
And the road in front of me,
Is easy now, for I may see:
I've learned to love, to care, to give,
And my life is worth while to live.
